Maternity: Wish Upon a Star

Joseph, Holly, and Tove took a field trip to Maternity: Wish Upon a Star
Joclaim Blackburn, Delores Lockjaw, and Lulula Laville. The purpose of this trip was to visit the maternity clinic and see what the place was all about. We liked the interactive nature of the site. This place was just like Build a Bear at the mall, but you could build your own baby to your own liking. There was areas were you could buy furniture and other baby products. There was also a hospital on the second floor where you could deliver your baby. However, this area was difficult to navigate into and seemed to lack interactive activities, and that is what we did not like.

Our group visited the National Institute of Health. TONS OF INFORMATION THERE!! A. Leilani Correa (Taulelei Honi)

There are lots of subject boards with articles available. Subjects like Smoking effects on genes, drug addiction, and stem cells. There is a Foundations of Life Awareness class that is also available. There is a medical library on the ground floor, along with a computer you can use and choose which subject to research. I found "exhibitions of historical medical images" and another history of medical exhibits which is under construction. I came across a breast cancer awareness room, with testimonies, free shirts, pins, and resources. A man wrote his story with is experience with breast cancer, talking about how men are in denial with any symptoms because they don't think it would be breast cancer. It was very informatinoal, and interesting.
